Fearless Leader
MGA Executive Director Jay Mottola celebrated two recent
milestones— 30 years at the MGA and a 60th birthday. Mottola (above), who began his work with the MGA as a tournament field team volunteer and then became a full-time staff
member in 1980, was named Executive Director in 1981.
Under his leadership, the MGA has thrived and set the standard among regional golf associations, and will soon move
its offices into an expanded building next to the current Golf
Central. Mottola’s milestone was celebrated by the MGA
Executive Committee at their most recent meeting.
