Junior Calendar
When the school year ends, the action for Met Area junior golfers heats up.
Highlights on the 2008 calendar include a full complement of four sectional qualifiers for the 91st Met Junior Championship, sponsored by
MetLife, run concurrently with qualifying for the 40th MGA/MetLife Boys
Championship. In addition, the 6th Carter Cup-MGA Junior Stroke Play
Championship offers an opportunity for the best area juniors to tee it up
for two rounds at historic Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J. On the national scale, the
MGA will hold a qualifier on June 26 for the U.S. Junior Championship, and the U.S. Girls’
Junior Championship will take place in West Hartford, Conn., in July.
